Appearance of Disease - CEAP

This section is designed for our physician colleagues, especially primary care doctors and family practitioners, to help easily classify patients according to International CEAP Classification guidelines.  Please refer to the diagram and images below to determine the proper classification of your patients and to know how to prioritize the referral of your patients to Dr. Milne.

Spider veins, reticular veins and large veins are all manifestations of the same disease affecting different organs.

• Small-sized diseased veins or spider veins are of red or purple color. 
• Medium-sized diseased veins or reticular veins are more of pale greenish color.
• Large-sized veins are usually bulging and bumpy.
